Sodium tripolyphosphate Tpp, sodium tripolyphosphate Ph
It is an organic compound with the chemical formula Na5p3o10. It is an amorphous form of water-soluble linear phosphate. There is one type of sodium tripolyphosphate, type I at high temperatures. Type II is lower temperature. It is their differing bond lengths or bond angles that make the difference. Both have similar chemical properties but their thermal stability, hygroscopicity and thermostability are greater than those of type II.
