What is Lithium Stearate?

What does lithium stearate mean? Lithium Stearate also called C17H35COOLi, is a sodium-stearic acid. It’s one of the most popular metal soaps. It can also be used in the production of greases or waxes. It is nearly insoluble with water and alcohol. But, the melting point is 220degC (colorless). The powder can be used at temperatures of up to 150 degrees Celsius and can also be lubricated to temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. This was the first use of lithium, before there was lithium-ion technology. For pencils, small quantities of lithium-stearate can be used. You can also take it orally for low toxicities.

What is lithium grease, exactly?

Lithium grease was first discovered in the 1940s. It is formed when lithium hydroxide reacts with fatty acids. Thickeners is the current name for lithium soaps. They are composed of lithium hydroxide monohydrate (or Triglyceride) and 12HSA (12-hydroxystearic Acid).

Grease was used in lubricants since at least 1400BC. Grease, which is a grease, can reduce friction, waterproofs, and seals. To lubricate bearings, grease is used by more than 90%.

You could use synthetic or mineral oil. This could also be synthetic oil or mineral oil. To make lithium soap, you can mix many oils and fats.
