For insulation, additional metal was used in the SO2 aerogel. A framework material was polyimide. An aluminum film with porous SO2 aggels was applied to the aluminum foil, creating an insulation layer. You can get 5 times more heat insulation if the film is stackable up to 10 layers.
II. Application for Electricity
In solid materials, the dielectric constant for silicon aerogel can vary between 1-2 and very low levels.
